Latest Conspiracy Theory

Posted by roderick on March 29, 2008

Ok, call me crazy…and maybe I am. But humor me for a second. I’m not really a conspiracy theorist or anything like that because I generally don’t have that much time on my hands to think up stuff like this.

But on a recent four hour plane ride where some guy behind me kept digging his knees into my seat thereby ruining any chances of my customary “plane nap” I instead found myself in a drowsy state thinking up all kinds of crazy foolishness.

Hang on tight and remember…

I told you…

This was crazy talk…

Just remember…

I was sleepy when I thought this…

With a knee in my back…

It’s awfully curious that a number of tough circumstances have occurred in our nation all at the same time: several months before the presidential election. Let’s examine a few of them, shall we?

  1. Sub-prime crisis
  2. The Economy
  3. Collapse of Bear Stearns
  4. Wild fluctuations in the US Stock Market
  5. Over $100 per barrel oil prices
  6. Devaluation of the US Dollar
  7. Recent sour developments in Iraq
  8. Increased layoffs and unemployment claims
  9. Threat of or actual recession
  10. Burst of the housing/real-estate bubble

Certainly there are more things I could add to this list and of course many of the above items are related to each other, but to the average citizen they appear to all be individual crises that serve to increase our sense of gloom and doom in the US.

Maybe its just me but it seems like a mighty long time since we have faced so many “crises” all at one time. And being a long time believer that the media often works very hard to shape public opinion (since the public often refuses to think for itself and seems to want it’s opinion to be shaped) that some of these issues are a self-fulfilling prophecy of the media.

Many of these crises were planted in the minds of the American public two to three years ago and are now playing out every night on the Evening News. The media wants us to feed in to their gloom and doom so that they can sell more advertising. Bad news sells. It also becomes real after you pronounce it long enough.

Here is where the real conspiracy theory kicks in (at about the same time the ape behind me kicked my back for the umpteenth time.)

Who or what organization has the most to gain by all of these crises hitting the US

all…

at…

the…

same…

time?

I don’t know and I won’t speculate but I do wonder if some portion of what we’re experiencing is caused by a media running wild and if so who would pull their strings to cause so many crises to come to a head all at once?

I told you this was crazy but it’s also somewhat thought provoking. No, I’m not claiming it’s the democrats or republicans who are fomenting so many problems in the US, but what if it’s someone outside the US?

With an agenda much larger than just impacting the presidential election?

Hmm? Just a thought. Or two.

Next time, I’m upgrading to First Class.

Peace…

Clinton Battles Call to Quit

Posted by roderick on March 29, 2008

As the dem slugfest rolls on it is becoming increasingly clear that the leadership of the Democratic party is becoming fed up with Hillary’s stubborn refusal to admit the obvious: she can not win the nomination of her party. Even Stevie Wonder can see that fact with both eyes closed.

But this is a good thing. Hillary’s refusal to acknowledge that it’s over only further alienates her from any dem support at high levels. It further cast her as a selfish candidate who feels that the presidency is her entitlement and she will leave a trail of bodies in her wake to get it. Even if it means destroying any chance for a democratic winner this fall. If she can’t have it, neither can Barack Obama.

The more she alienates the dem leadership the less chance she stands of getting any support of the Superdelegates now or for any future presidential runs.

It’s over St. Hillary. I guess the country doesn’t need you as much as you led yourself to believe we do.

Oh my! What ever will we do without Hillary!? Oh, I don’t know…breathe easier? Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Putting Lipstick on a pig (Named Hillary)

Posted by roderick on March 25, 2008

Caught in her own web of lies, Sen. Hillary Clinton actually had the nerve to say that she misspoke about being under sniper fire in Bosnia.  She blithely said “Oh, it was just a minor blip…” Translated as “you idiots will vote for me anyway so there’s no real need to attempt to explain my deception…”Now I understand the whole notion of “misspeaking” because we all have.

However, being under the imminent threat of sniper fire or actually being shot at is not something you “misspeak” about.  You either were being shot or not.  You either dashed at high speed to safety or you didn’t.  It’s not something that you get mixed up about! You don’t say that there was no welcoming ceremony and that you ran under cover to your waiting cars or that your plane did some tactical maneuver to avoid taking fire when in fact NONE OF THOSE THINGS HAPPENED!

Will someone please give me a break here?!  On a personal level, having actually been shot at before I remember in vivid detail every little bit of the incident.  I remember what day of the week it was, the weather, the smells, the sounds, and especially the sounds of the bullets cracking past my ear as they zipped by.  I even remember feeling the heat of the rounds going by and the look on the face of the guy who was trying to kill me.  That was 27 years ago and I remember every detail as if it just happened yesterday!

I don’t mistakenly associate that moment with another moment when I was taking a stroll through the park with my kids!  In fact, there is NO WAY on Earth the military and Secret Service would have allowed the First Lady and Chelsea Clinton anywhere near a danger zone!  The closest “sniper” would have to have been 200 miles away or at least out of sniper range.

Clinton’s deceptive attempts to say she misspoke is like putting lipstick on a pig to make it look prettier.  But in this case it doesn’t work.

Let’s face the truth.  This woman will lie, cheat, steal, just plain do anything to win because she thinks she can.  What’s worse is she does it right in the open, right in our face and doesn’t care because she knows that her supporters will support her no matter what.  What does it say about her supporters?  They would put lipstick on a pig also.

If we elect this woman, we deserve what we get: At least four years of absolute disaster of epic proportions…and when she causes the next set of disasters, she’s already working on her spin to address that!

Barack went by “Barry?”

Gotta read this…

Can Hillary Win? Nope!

Posted by roderick on March 23, 2008

As the race for the dem nomination looks towards Pennsylvania’s Primary on April 22nd, Clintonistas are forced to ask…what are we willing to do to win this nomination?

It’s a hard choice and they have few options. Mathematically it is all but impossible. It simply can’t be done with the number of primaries left. That means that Hillary must lobby the Superdelegates to vote her way on the premise that she is more electable.

That might have been a fairly valid argument about a week or two ago but now Obama seems to have shown some signs of recovery from the Jeremiah Wright damage. Also, Hillary is behind Obama is campaign funds as well. If the Clintons pull some back channel stunt to get sufficienct Superdelegates to vote for her, and that is a huge “IF” then millions of voters will be outraged, and will likely vote for John McCain and then Hillary still doesn’t win.

In the spirit of honesty, the best thing Hillary Clinton can do now if she really cares about the Democratic Party is step aside and throw her resources behind Barack Obama. That gesture will earn her HUGE brownie points with the dems and many voters who want to mobilize an effective campaign against John McCain. And let’s face it, even as a conservative, John McCain ain’t the most formidable opponent to run against! He’s very beat-able!

Hillary won’t win this election. Not a chance. But if she admits it, gets James Carville and Billy boy to put the ol’ “Clinton-Spin” on it, she can position herself now for the dem nominee in 2012. Her party will appreciate it and repay the favor in the future. If she doggedly continues on (as I know she will) she will only create a disaster for herself and the democratic party. And republicans are cheering because it is just the kind of disaster we need to gain a leadership advantage once again.

Fight on Hillary! Fight on…conservatives are cheering for you! Hee…hee!

Gov. Bill Richardson…stand up guy…

Posted by roderick on March 23, 2008

Here is an excellent article from the New York Times about Gov. Bill Richardson’s decision process to endorse Barack Obama. Not only does he chastise Hillary he all but repudiates her candidacy.

Clinton in the Gutter

Posted by roderick on March 23, 2008

Wow! I just read the attached article. Even New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson says that the Clinton campaign plays “gutter politics”. It appears that he does not like being associated with them any longer after they called him “Judas” for endorsing Barack Obama.

Further evidence that the Clinton campaign is facing imminent implosion and disintegration. Gov. Richardson also said that the Clinton gang feels that they are entitled to the presidency. Scary! Even scarier when a well connnected Dem insider and Clinton friend says that they feel there is a sense of entitlement within Camp Hillary.

Conservatives Risk Losing Relevancy Pt. 2

Posted by roderick on March 22, 2008

As a follow up to my first post on this topic, I have enclosed the attached article suggesting that the legacy of Obama’s Message is already beginning to take shape.

Since the conservative “heavyweights” won’t do the right thing and hear the message, allow me, a “regular guy” conservative to step up and do the right thing.

I applaud the message from the bottom of my conservative heart!

Conservatives risk losing relevancy and pushing ideological “undecideds” towards liberalism if we don’t get this right!

Peace America!

What Next Hillary?

Posted by roderick on March 22, 2008

It has been the week of revelations and “gates”. “Pastor Wright-Gate”, “Passport-Gate” and now “back to the past-gate” with revelations of Hillary’s disingenuous assertions that she is eminently and extraordinarily qualified to lead as Commander in Chief. She also told the voters in Ohio that she has always consistently been against NAFTA when the written documentation of her record would suggest something completely different.

I am incredulous as I wonder how stupid does she really think Americans are? It is absolutely incredible to see just how little respect she has for us. Mind-blowing!

When she was supposedly getting close up experience in foreign affairs matters (not like Bill was a foreign policy Tour de Force) she was actually sipping tea and eating crumpets. She was visiting flower gardens and hospitals while Bill was telling the Sudanese to release Osama Bin Laden.

Eye witnesses have stated that they personally attended meeting sponsored by Hillary promoting the acceptance of NAFTA. Hillary fooled the voters of Ohio but she can’t fool all of America. It is clear why the Clinton campaign has stalled and dragged it’s feet and done everything possible to prevent the release of Clinton’s papers during that time. They are still trying to prevent the further release of additional documents that would no doubt eliminate Hillary from any further consideration.

Additionally, she must be smarting at the latest Gallup Poll indicating that despite the difficult week Sen. Barack Obama has had, he is once again leading in the national polls. Read here…

Even the liberal blogs are dogging Hillary. Mathematically, she CAN NOT WIN yet she continues to hang on for God only knows why. Both candidates will ultimately need the support of the Superdelegates to win the nomination. Superdelegates will want to reflect the will of the people and will risk severe rebukes and criticism if they don’t. With Obama ultimately leading in the delegate count, popular vote, and number of states won, they will face a serious problem if they yield to Clinton influence and don’t support Obama.

Clinton of course will contend that she is more electable but it is not yet clear if she will have polling data to support her assertions. If Superdelegates give in to her, we will witness a very serious backlash of Obama voters who will feel disenfranchised and robbed. They will claim that Obama was robbed of the nomination and Hillary will not be able to rely on their votes. In fact recent data indicates that 1 in 5 Obama voters will vote for McCain if Clinton is nominated. The same poll indicates that 1 in 10 Clinton voters will vote for McCain if Obama is nominated.

Conclusion? Hillary…

can…

not…

win…

End of story.
