Posted by roderick on March 18, 2008Barack Obama made this speech in Philadelphia, PA. on March 18, 2008. I was privileged to hear it live. It’s not an oratorical Tour de Force and therein lies it’s beauty. I believe it will go down in historical significance with some of the greatest speeches of our generation. For me, it defines my own experience, and I believe the experiences and inner conflicts of many black and white Americans.
